Azotic North America was created to introduce natural nitrogen-fixing technology that can fix nitrogen in all crops (including corn). With North American offices in Raleigh, North Carolina, Guelph, Ontario and a global office in the UK, Azotic has taken more than 20 years of academic research and has created the first large scale, commercially available nitrogen-fixation product, which it is now offering to farmers across the globe.
Azotic North America is looking for several Sales Agronomists to join our growing team. Positions are available in Ontario, Canada and across the American Midwest states. We are seeking experienced sales professionals who have a strong foundation in agronomy and who is a driven, independent person with a passion for technical sales.
In this position, you are primarily responsible for creating demand for Envita within your territory by working closely with our ag distributor representatives and their dealer/retailer network to create demand for Envita at the grower and retail outlet levels. Our marketing efforts create interest, and your job is to capitalize on that interest by helping to convert interest to purchases at the dealer and grower level. You are a great salesperson because your agronomic experience gives you the confidence to influence and motivate dealers and growers to action. Your sales activity will include leading a broad demo program with dealers and growers in your territory coupled with providing R&D, agronomic and marketing support as required. We want satisfied customers and your direct contact with growers and retail outlets are critical to that.
Responsibilities:
- Create demand for Envita within your territory by partnering with distributor representatives and dealers
- Develop territory plans with monthly activity goals to measure progress
- Focus on building long term relationships with distributor and retail partners – become the “go-to” leader of biologicals in your region
- Provide technical training to ag retailers, including agronomy meetings, grower meetings, tradeshows and field days
- Organize and execute grower demo program with retail and distribution partners
- Partner with Azotic Sales & Marketing team to develop and execute regional marketing initiatives within your territory, including supporting weekly content for social media
- Extensive travel required within large territory – vehicle allowance and expense account provided
Qualifications:
- College diploma or university degree in agriculture or related specialty
- Strong understanding of agronomy, fertility and crop production
- Experience with crop protection sprayer application, equipment and best practices
- Experience with in-furrow application, equipment and best practices
- Minimum of 3 years of ag sales experience required
- Demonstrated ability to sell, negotiate, influence and create demand in technical sales
- Can work independently and integrate well within a larger team
- Flexible with the ability to adapt to a changing industry
- Proficient use of computer programs (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Valid Drivers Licence
- Ability to work in the United States/Canada without sponsorship
- This role will include some domestic air travel.
